What’s On & Where To Go

Exmouth today can still boast two miles of clean, safe, golden sands and a climate that always features high in the sunshine tables and an absolute plethora of restaurants and cafes to suit all pockets and palates.

Whilst the heady days of Georgian and Victorian era’s are long gone, Exmouth remains a true seaside destination and continues to offer something for everyone.

Watersports

Exmouth is well established in the South West for its excellent watersport activities, with Paddle boarding, Kayaking and Windsurfing facilities for all levels of experience.

Theatre, Live-shows,
Festivals and Entertainment

At different times throughout the year, Exmouth hosts Beer Festivals, Music Festivals and Food festivals, with the Exmouth Pavilion providing a vast array of entertainment throughout the year, from Murder Mystery dinners, to Christmas Panto’s and tribute bands… to mention just a few!

The Blackmore Theatre

The home of the Exmouth Players – is a charming little award- winning intimate theatre that stages a myriad of productions from Whodunnits to Pantomimes; this really is the place to go.

Boat trips and Fishing

There is a Foot Passenger Ferry (seasonal) that takes you across the Exe Estuary to Starcross, where you can visit Powderham Castle, or continue to explore the coastal paths… and perhaps visit some charming Inns in the area for a drink or three!

Stuart Line Cruises

A family business with two all weather dog and pram/wheelchair boats operating year-round in distinctive bright colours. With trips along the coast of Exmouth, Torbay and Sidmouth, or birdwatching and estuary views on outings up to Exeter, there is something for everyone.

Fishing boats

Operating fishing trips and charters out of Exmouth, so if it is a family day out to catch some Mackerel along the Jurassic Coast, or a more serious 50-mile trip out to the deep-sea for Bass or Shark fishing, Exmouth fishing boats can provide just what you want. You can even ‘have a go’ at ‘driving’ the boat and learning a bit about the waters in this area.

Exmouth Land Train

Running from May to the end of September and stops right outside of the Ashton Court Hotel. You can hop on & off the dog and pushchair-friendly little train to visit the picturesque seafront and town centre from under £4 for an approximate 1-hour round trip.

Scott Cinema

offering 3 screens, showing the latest mainstream and 3D releases, plus coffee bar.

Exmouth Marina

Bowling Clubs

There are two bowling clubs in Exmouth, Madeira and Phear Park that offer all-year-round facilities with both indoor and outdoor greens. A full programme of events takes place throughout the year and visitors are always welcome.

TESTIMONIALS

★★★★★

A beautiful, cozy and view worthy place to stay in Exmouth, Devon. Auroile (at the reception, from Ukraine) is a wonderful lady who'll go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one.
This place has excellent rooms, a nice bar and a restaurant serving top class English breakfast. This place has a lift so you don't need to worry about taking the stairs should you stay in the 2nd/3rd floor.
The family room we stayed in had an amazing view of Exmouth beach. Located at a walkable distance from the beach and town hall, this place has all the things checked if you're travelling with family.
We had an amazing two nights stay here and would always recommend our friends to stay in here if on Exmouth.

We booked last minute. The room was a good price but was small but suited us since it had everything we needed for one night's stay and was very clean. The breakfast was included and was very good with choice of cereals and full English. The staff were lovely and I suspect they would produce any variation. I understand the more expensive sea view rooms are a better size. The quaint 2/3 person lift was cute. Their garden across road would be lovely in the summer with views across the beach and sea. A few minutes to the coast road there is surprisingly good food in the pub/bowling alley. There is also a Budgens supermarket next door.

My wife & I have just returned from a four night stay at the Ashton Court Hotel & was very pleasantly surprised how good this hotel was.
A lovely clean hotel which has had quite a lot of refurbishment work carried out by the new owners recently. Our room on the second floor (Room 202} was very good, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water with everything how it should be. High speed free wifi & a passenger lift to all floors.
Our breakfast & three course evening dinner was excellent served by the very pleasant waitress Emily. Always polite & very helpfull.
A wide choice of food options was available every day catering well for customers with varied dietary requirements.
